Aaron & Acacia

Every series, we have one or two student couples from "College of the Rockies and it can be difficult when students are at the end of their term and must say goodbye.

This was Aaron and Acacia when they first came to us.  What a change and we will miss them.

Dear Dennis & Sharlene
It has been an absolute pleasure taking lessons from you!  Your passion and enthusiasm is infecting and made every class so much fun to attend.

Thank you for being such excellent teachers and interm grandparents to us here in Cranbrook,  we hope to see ya again (as much better dancers!).

nost just shoes Suenostango
Just as Cinderella's shoe was not the same as every other girl's shoe, so it is in dance. . .
In Tango, especially Argentine Tango, the shoe is your main tool. Because of the strong movements, the need for individual balance and of course the difficult places that tango is sometimes danced in, the Tango Shoe must be made to meet many challenges.

Firm smooth soles, strong insteps and a very sturdy heel are essential. Does this mean "no pretty"? Of course not! Once in Tango history, men and women both danced in sturdy "boot-like" footwear. Today, shoes are more "slipper-like" for both men and ladies.

Today, the milongas are filled with bright colors, glitter and glamour and that is just for the shoes. . .
Many men wear multli-colored, patent leather shoes in slip-on and lace-up models and in various heights and styles of heel. Ladies are seen wearing slipper types, sandals, sparkles, colors, slender high heels, all just to enhance the beauty of the foot and leg.

Each Tango shoe, will be crafted for strength and endurance for the many miles of dancing that each shoe will travel.

In the next edition, we will address how to choose the shoe that will best work for you.

Private lessons continue to be available on request.
